2009 was the best year ever in our little Fox Hollow haunted yard! Not only did we expand, more than doubling our size, by continuing a full U-shaped path into our co-conspirators yard (The Awesome Lendvays), but we also added 15 actors throughout the haunt.
In addition to our old favorite haunted locations of the graveyard, the swamp and the pirate cove we also created the haunted forest, the mad science lab, the toxic sewer and the spider lair. We had to work extra hard to literally build 3 of the 4 new zones as well as give the pirate cove a little face lift to help it transition into the haunted forest. Kevin, Cyrus, Athena and I toiled many hours to get it done, but OMG was it fun!!! My sister Lyndsey and Brother-in-Law Brian came out from Rochester NY to help with the final few days of prep and to round out our awesome cast. And did I mention our awesome cast? Many of our vistors could not stop raving about the amazing actors that we hired! Hired?!? Nope, we just have Ÿber-talented friends and family who find this as much fun as we do.
This was also the first year that we decided to operate for 2 nights. Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st both were haunted nights. On Friday we had 85 guests and raised $120 for the Humane Society of Silicon Valley & Palo Alto Animal Services (the shelters that we foster kittens with)!! On Halloween we had 427 visitors and raised another $80 for the kitties and doggies!!
These photos are from the end of the night on Saturday!! Thank you thank you thank you everyone who particpated and helped out (Thank you Emily for helping build things even though you couldn't be here on Halloween) and all our amazing visitors who made the haunt so much fun and added to our soundtrack with their screams!!

Indiana Says Save The Kitties - We collected $200 to be donated to the Humane Society of Silicon Valley and Palo Alto Animal Services, the two shelters that we foster kittens for. Indiana and all of us at Haunted Fox Hollow thank everyone for the donations. The kitties and puppies at the shelters thank you too!!
